Auyl

Auyl is a neonomadic Kazakh cuisine restaurant in the mountain district of Medeu, on the grounds of the Qazaq Auyl eco-hotel. This ABR network project combines dinner with elements of a gastronomic performance: dishes are cooked over an open fire, in a kazan, on a mangal and in a tandoor, drawing on the staples of nomadic cuisine — meat, dough and broths.

The interior, with felt, wood, carpets and handmade objects, reimagines the image of an auyl; the dining room and terrace offer views of the slopes of the Trans-Ili Alatau.
