Astana Opera

Astana Opera is a state opera and ballet theatre and one of the capital’s main cultural centres. The building on the left bank of the Ishim opened in 2013 and combines classical theatre architecture with Kazakh decorative motifs. Its repertoire includes operas, ballets, symphony concerts and chamber programmes; the theatre has a Grand Hall with 1,250 seats and a Chamber Hall with 250 seats.
