Palace of Peace and Reconciliation

The Palace of Peace and Reconciliation is a cultural center and one of Astana’s most recognizable buildings: a glass-and-stone pyramid designed by Norman Foster, opened in 2006 for the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. It stands by the Presidential Park and Independence Square. Guided tours are held inside; visitors see the opera hall, the Atrium hall, the Museum of Peace and Reconciliation, the Kulanshi gallery, the winter garden, and the Besik hall with views of the city.
