Akorda Residence

Akorda is the working residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and one of Astana’s main architectural symbols. The white building with a blue dome and golden spire stands on the left bank of the Yesil River and completes the vista of Nurzhol Boulevard. Inside are ceremonial halls for state ceremonies, negotiations, meetings with heads of state, and award presentations; tourists usually view the residence from the outside, from the boulevard, embankment, and Presidential Park.
