Khan Shatyr

Khan Shatyr is a shopping and entertainment center and one of Astana’s architectural symbols. Designed by Foster + Partners, the transparent tent-shaped building stands in the modern part of the city and is visible from afar. Inside are shops of international and local brands, a food court, cafés and restaurants, a cinema, the Fame City family amusement park, and the indoor Sky Beach Club beach club under the dome. The center is notable for its combination of shopping, entertainment, and unusual engineering design.
