Vyacheslav Reservoir

The Vyacheslav, or Astana, Reservoir is an artificial body of water in the upper reaches of the Esil River, created to regulate runoff and supply the capital with water. Its shores in Arshaly District attract Astana residents for fishing, walks by the water, and peaceful outdoor recreation. The northern part of the shoreline is steeper, while the southern part is flat and in places overgrown with reeds; the villages of Arnasay, Izhevskoye, and Mikhaylovka are nearby.
