Palace of Independence

The Palace of Independence is a large cultural and business complex in Astana near Independence Square, next to the National Museum and the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. The building opened in 2008 and is used for state ceremonies, forums, exhibitions, and concerts. Inside are a congress hall, ceremonial halls, art and ethnographic exhibitions, as well as a model hall with the capital’s development plan.
